My model town
While waiting for some movies to download, I put the finishing touches on some intricate small-scale models of streetscapes from Duluth and Minneapolis...I've been working all winter on these!
Nicollet mall! ...sorry these are blurry, but it's hard to take photos at such close quarters...
Canal Park in Duluth, looking towards downtown. Can you tell where the models end and the fake background begins?
Bob's Java Hut in South Minneapolis.
A fake ore boat crosses through a fake Canal Park on a fake lake!
These models took many, many nights of winter hibernatory obesession. Just kidding. It's my first attempts at making fake model photography using some simple Photoshop tricks. Here's a flickr gallery of some. Mine aren't the best of course--can you do better? It'd be fun to see some famous TC landmarks 'rendered' in miniature. Here's a flickr pool of over a hundred!
Original photos here, here, and here.
